Annual Tennis tournament success
THE Mareeba Tennis Club hosted their annual Mazda Mitsubishi tournament at the end of August with players from across the region coming to compete.

There were some closely contested matches being played over the day with clear skies, good temperatures and little wind to accompany the players.
Mark Keating and Connie Martens won the Combined age over 100 doubles division while Ben and Toby Watson won the Combined age under 100 doubles.
Brock Collins doubled up on the day winning both the A grade singles and doubles with his partner Chris Ellison.
Jered Price broke through to win the B grade singles while Braiden Cadorin and Dillion Duesbury took out the doubles title.
C grade singles went to Nicolas Collins while Damian Sandilands and Reeana Guy secured C grade doubles.
Kanichi Shioji and Alice Palmer were also named as the clubs club champions on the day.
