Carnival promotes healthy choices
IT was game on at Davies Park recently, with Mulungu Aboriginal Corporation hosting their annual regional FNQ Deadly Choices Touch Football event.
The Mareeba Warriors claimed the win during the Mulungu Aboriginal Corporation regional FNQ Deadly Choices Touch Football event.
The event, aimed at promoting healthy choices and encouraging regular exercise, welcomed 11 teams from as far as Cairns, Innisfail, Yarrabah and Normanton.
By the end of the event, it was the Mareeba Warriors versus the Kuranda Stormz in a final showdown, with Mareeba taking the win.
Mareeba player Hubert Elu was also named player of the carnival.
