Gladiators to host ANZAC game

LOCAL rugby league will return this week as the Mareeba Gladiators host the Edmonton Storm while the Yarrabah Seahawks host the Atherton Roosters for a special ANZAC Day hit out.

The gates of Davies Park, Mareeba, will open at 2pm and will see the Masters kick things off from 3.30pm. They will then be followed by Reserve Grade at 4.30pm.

A short intermission will take place and see the Under 8s and Under 9s play a curtain raiser to the A Grade game at 6pm.

There will then be live music in the clubhouse from Careless following the final match.

Atherton will travel to take on Yarrabah at Jilara Oval, Yarrabah, also on ANZAC Day.

The Under 19s will be the first to get things underway at 3pm, followed by Reserve Grade at 4.30pm and A Grade at 6pm.
