Fire bans in place
TOTAL fire bans have been issued for four Local Government Areas.
TOTAL fire bans have been issued for four Local Government Areas.
These include Mareeba Shire Council, Tablelands Regional Council, Etheridge Shire Council and Croydon Shire Council.
The bans were issued on November 29 and will remain in place until December 13, 2019.
The ban prohibits the lighting, maintenance and use of fire in the open spaces and all permits to Light Fire previously issued in the local fire ban area are cancelled (subject to exemptions).
